A Rather Special Bird!

I'm beyond thrilled that The Grizzled Grist Does Not Exist has been chosen for inclusion on the prestigious White Ravens List this year - the only title selected from New Zealand. What an absolute honour! Huge congratulatory hugs to: Juliette MacIver, illustrious author; Gecko Press, publishers extraordinaire; and Vida Kelly , design wizard!

This year's edition of the White Raven catalogue features 200 titles in 39 languages and from 57 countries: Picture books, stories and novels, fairy tales and poems, graphic novels, non-fiction books, and biographies - reading material for toddlers, kids, and young adults alike.
They are recommended by the language specialists of the International Youth Library with the help of a large network of children's and youth book experts from all over the world. The criteria for selection were the literary and pictorial quality, the relevance of the topics dealt with, originality, innovative approaches, and book design.
