Thanks for having me, Willoughby, Roseville and Sacred Heart!

Well, I'm a bit tardy with my thank-you post because life's been so busy these last few weeks, but I had a marvellous time visiting Willoughby P.S, Roseville P.S, and Sacred Heart recently - what a lovely, hospitable bunch of kids and teachers. I've continued to be impressed by the  incredibly creative "Across the Story Bridge" displays. Teacher Librarians shouldn't be allowed to have all those brains, good looks and talent - it's not fair on the rest of us!

Here's me looking smarmy with the lovely Jill McGeorge, teacher librarian at Willoughby, and fellow NZer - nice to hear the accent again.

And here's the Fabulous Fiona Elliott, teacher-librarian at Roseville P.S...

And a couple of 10 minute collaborative drawings I did with the kids. They art-directed and came up with the stories, and then I did my best to illustrate them. Here's a tragic tale of a lost and exhausted bee, who strayed from the hive even though his mum and dad told him not to - and now he's far from home, and night is falling...

And a happy horse, whose friends are throwing him a surprise party, complete with a cake made of hay...

It was great to see Margaret Roc, TL at Sacred Heart - I've met her a few times at SCBWI get-togethers, so it was nice to see where she worked and have a chance to catch up. Here's her fabulous Story Bridge....

And a couple more 10 minute story-pictures. This one's called "Bob Claws, the Dynamite Baggy-Bones Monster versus Ninja Rabbit and His Apple of Doom!"

And this one is perhaps a little more self-explanatory...
