I'm working on a theatre poster at the moment, for the Marian Street Theatre for Young People in Sydney, which is proving to be a lot of fun. They're doing a production of Puss in Boots, and while I was wandering round the www looking for inspiration I found a cool and informative site - Sur La Lune Fairy Tales. It features 46 annotated fairy tales, including histories, similar tales across cultures, and over 1,400 illustrations. The page on Puss in Boots illustrations thoughout history features some beautiful images by illuminati such as Gustav Dore (that's his psycho-puss posted above), Edmund Dulac, Arthur Rackham, Maxfield Parrish... and others. Yum.

And as for my Puss in Boots? It won't be up to their glorious standards, but I'll post it when I'm done.
