Illustration Friday - Farm

This is a color study I did for a book spread that I never finished. Now that I've hauled it out into the light of day again, it looks very static and lacking in energy - the scene was meant to be all manic and lively, but somehow I've managed to make everyone look frozen. Ho hum. So, I don't like it that much, but I'm going to humiliate myself by posting it anyway... This is the Australian version of a farm - lots of red dust, rusty watertanks, flat horizon and kangaroos in the distance.
