I Stole Daddy's Toes

I've just started working on a picture book for an author in America who's self-publishing through Amazon - that's the title up there above us. It's a really lovely little book about a new baby's family gathering round to try and work out who she looks like most. I'm going to have so much fun doing it... it'll be great for the portfolio and for the experience too. I started having a go at sketching babies to see how best to capture that soft, fragile new-baby look, and I think I've settled on soft water colour washes and pencil. Here's the working sketch that I like the most.
